Like the new arrangement of the artwork. Love it all. Love the sketches, I think, best, but the rest run a pretty close second.

Kevin,

Though I’ve only seen you perform on a couple of occasions over the years, I just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed your music. My wife and I are both musicians, playing for a living in US Air Force bands. We heard the McKrells a couple of times down in Savannah, GA; first, when you had Sara in the group and had just done your “Live” recording. Being a musician, it’s easy to be jaded and over-analytical (the world is full of music critics, and their value to humanity is nil) about our art but your music really spoke to us, and especially to me at a time when I viewed my music as just “work.” We recognized that wonderful quality of “heart” in the words to your songs as well as the delivery of those messages (Hit the Ground Running and The Routine especially spoke to our feelings as touring musicians)…and of course your band gave us their all. I think you’ll agree that audiences are voyeurs and I feel the most satisfying music when performing or listening is when the performer delivers a message from the heart…and the audience gets that message as well as a glimpse, if brief, into the very soul of the human being that is delivering it. That experience made me reevaluate myself as a musician and helped reawaken my passion for music. I rediscovered the joy of making music just for the sheer joy of it as well as a better sense of how to give that to the people we “entertain.” Music really touches people’s hearts and isn’t it amazing we can have a part in that? I’m positive you don’t get nearly the monetary rewards that your talents deserve but hopefully you at least have that personal satisfaction from communicating yourself through your art and enriching people’s lives. Here’s to ya!

Hello Kevin! I so enjoy your email updates. I realize you are a very busy man and I won't keep you. I am from Buffalo, NY and this past summer the husband and I went to SPAC for a Dave Matthews concert. It was the first "get-a-way" we've had in five years *sigh*. We wandered around Broadway in Saratoga Springs, had lunch at the little hippie cafe and threw some cash around at Celtic Treasures. Up on the wall, we saw the "Feckin Wrecked" shirt and asked the lovebird owners if there was a print. Indeed there "WAS" but twas long sold out, or lost in your basement somewhere. I was curious if you have had a chance to get more printed, or if you would consider doing so. I know the owners wanted more and I would like at least three but could always find more people to gift them too. It is fine Irishwork indeed. Thank you for your time. Keep warm and happy. Fondly, Dawn O'Lewandowski (the husband is Polish, my redheaded self comes from the fabulous O'Neill, Quinn & O'Brien bloodlines so I prefer to use the "O" in my name ;o)

Hi Kevin - haven't seen you guys in so long - seems every time you are playing somewhere we are somewhere else (out of the Albany area). You know we retired folks just seem to travel all the time. Glad you have your guestbook back up - good luck in all your endeavors and hopefully we'll meet up soon.
